The task
Zapf Creation tasked us with creating compelling content and occasions to emotionally position the BABY born brand in the media. The goal was to elevate the topic of doll play in a high-impact way, while establishing BABY born as a fashion-forward love brand in children’s bedrooms. We used World Doll Day 2022 as a storytelling opportunity to bring the captivating narrative behind the fashion collections to life.





The implementation
We crafted a striking narrative centred on the profession of a doll fashion designer, seamlessly linking it to BABY born’s fashion credentials. At the core was an exclusive interview with head designer Carmen Leutheuser, offering a behind-the-scenes look into her creative world, from fashion weeks to the sketchpad. We strategically placed the content in family and lifestyle media, using the strength of the BABY born brand as an emotional anchor for the campaign.
The result
On World Doll Day, 11 June 2022, our storytelling approach successfully captured the attention of both daily media and leading family and lifestyle titles. A standout achievement was the in-depth, two-page interview with BABY born’s head designer featured in InStyle Mini & Me magazine. This allowed us to engage existing fans while also reaching new target audiences, strengthening the emotional connection to the brand.
